Rule of Law, Fidelity, and Mediated Efficacy: Addressing the Distance Dilemma in Postema’s Theory

This article examines Gerald Postema’s proposed solution to the distance dilemma and argues that mediated legal efficacy is insufficient to sustain the ethos of fidelity and networks of mutual accountability required by his conception of the rule of law.
